We're introducing response rates on member profiles. It's a simple way to recognize responsive hosts, give guests more confidence, and strengthen the community we're building together.

How it works

Your response rate reflects the percentage of trip requests you've responded to (by approving, declining, or replying). It becomes visible to other members after you've received at least 5 requests, and is calculated on a rolling basis using either your last 6 months of requests or your last 5 requests, whichever captures more trips.

Why it matters

When a request expires without a response, it makes trip planning difficult and discouraging for members. Responding promptly helps members plan their trips with confidence and keeps the community thriving.

Tips for maintaining a great response rate

  • Keep your availability up to date
  • Respond to all requests within 48 hours, and decline rather than let requests expire
  • Not sure yet? Start a chat with the guest while you figure out the details
