Welcoming Our New CTO
Kindred welcomes Bryan Li as CTO.
Today, we’re excited to announce that Kindred has acquired stealth consumer startup, Mango. Mango’s founder, Bryan Li, will be joining Kindred as CTO.
Tas and I started Kindred with a vision of unlocking access to a travel-rich lifestyle for a fraction of the cost. Since launching our private beta, Kindred founding members have booked over 2,500 nights at one another’s homes through our unique “give to get” economy.
By radically changing the cost structure of travel, we change what’s possible in our lives. And by connecting more authentically with one another and staying in warmer, more human spaces, we’re able to live a life richer in experiences, relationships, and adventures than what we’d had before.
We’ve been working hard to deliver an excellent experience in our private beta, but for Kindred’s next chapter, we’re focused on how we can bring trusted peer-to-peer home sharing to a broader pool of people, without losing the magic that got us this far.
That’s why we’re so excited for Bryan to join. We were introduced to Bryan through a mutual investor, and were immediately impressed by his technical strength, humility, empathy, and hustle. Bryan is an incredible technical operator, a deeply good person, and a thoughtful strategist and leader.
Bryan’s company Mango was also building a high-trust matchmaking experience, but for the purpose of dating instead of swapping homes. By bringing Bryan and some of the Mango team to Kindred, we’re excited to accelerate our efforts to build out a scalable matchmaking engine and improve upon our member experience.
It’s going to be a fun year ahead. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated along the way.

If you’re interested in joining Kindred and don’t have an invite code from an existing member, feel free to sign up for the waitlist. We actively review for folks in high-demand areas to add to our growing network.
